The Hong Kong entertainment industry is still buzzing about the newest Miss Hong Kong (香港小姐), 26-year-old Stacey Chan (陳詠詩). Besides her family ties and academic background, many have also grown curious about her love life.
After Stacey’s win on 31st August 2025 (Sunday), photos and videos of her with an unknown man made their way online. In some of the posts, the beauty queen and the man were being intimate, sparking discussion amongst netizens. As it turns out, the man is Stacey’s boyfriend of almost two years, Martin. According to news reports, Martin is a student at the University of Southern California (USC), and the pair met at a joint university event.

Interestingly, Stacey has openly admitted to having a partner while competing in the Miss HK Pageant. During the contestants’ filming in Penang, Martin was spotted greeting Stacey at the airport, prompting the gymnast to confirm their romance. Right until Stacey participated in the pageant, the USC student often made appearances on her social media. While the couple are still together, Stacey has since deleted their photos on her social media.
In a recent interview, the PhD student explained that she decided to delete the posts to maintain privacy for her partner, who isn’t a celebrity. Despite that, Stacey doesn’t regret her decision to go public with her relationship, saying, “If I wanted to hide it, I wouldn’t choose to share it.” She also hinted that she was asked to delete the photos by the agency, noting the cultural differences between Hong Kong and the United States.

Stacey also mentioned the “breakup curse” that had befallen many past Miss HK champions, where those who win the pageant unfortunately split from their long-term partners after being crowned. The 26-year-old said she is aware of the “curse”, but isn’t worried about her relationship status at the moment. Instead, Stacey prefers to let nature take its course and live life as it comes.
From the looks of it, Stacey and Martin do appear very happy, so we wish them all the best in the relationship. Perhaps they could be the ones to break the Miss HK “breakup curse”. What are your thoughts on this?
