It’s natural for fans to expect their favourite celebrities to start a family after marriage. However, it’s more heartwarming when the stars themselves are more excited about having babies, like how actress Mimi Lana is.
On 13th August 2025 (Wednesday), the Malaysian actress surprised fans when she posted on Threads, asking them to pray for her to be pregnant with twins. The post writes, “Can I have everyone pray for me to have twin babies? People say that when many people pray for you, the prayer will be granted.” Needless to say, many of Mimi’s fans began praying for the actress’s wish to come true.
Many also said they look forward to seeing Mimi start a family with husband, actor Syafiq Kyle, noting that their children would inherit their good looks. The 29-year-old then responded to the comments, thanking fans and netizens for the overwhelming support. She also expressed gratitude to those who shared tips to hopefully increase her chance of getting pregnant with twins.
Some fans also quipped that the post may be a hint that the “Mencari Ramlee” actress is currently pregnant. However, Mimi didn’t confirm the speculation. Additionally, some of her replies on the Threads post seem to suggest that she’s not yet expecting but is just planning for the future. While there has yet to be a Syafiq or Mimi Jr on the way, the star has mentioned that she’s ready to become a mother.
Mimi and Syafiq announced their engagement in 2023 after eight years together. However, they called off their initial wedding at the last minute. The pair then tied the knot earlier this year on Valentine’s Day in a private ceremony, attended by family and close friends. In a May interview, Mimi said that she and Syafiq are ready to start a family, even quipping that her husband has thought about potential baby names.
