Mooncakes have been a beloved part of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival for many years now. There is something truly pure and beautiful about biting into a mooncake under a bright full moon on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

And so, to help us satisfy our mooncake-loving cravings for this year’s festival (on 1st October), these F&B companies have created some mooncakes that we simply must try.

Yes, you read that right. ICE CREAM MOONCAKES!!! Just imagine biting into that taste of heaven wrapped up with our favourite traditional mooncake designs. Sheraton Petaling Jaya’s Mooncake Boxes are both delicious and functional! This year’s Mid Autumn Festival at Sheraton Petaling Jaya showcases a series of three mooncake boxes. Each box is filled with four delicious and traditionally baked Pure Lotus Paste, White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Baked Pandan Paste with Single Yolk and Red Bean Paste mooncakes.

The boxes in which the mooncakes come in are beautifully multifunctional. The boxes come in three vibrant and eye-catching designs named Peony, Plum Blossom and Tiffany Blossom and are also made out of high quality material that is reusable and stackable. I don’t know what I’m more excited for – the box or the mooncakes?! Not going to lie, I’m excited for both!

“Full Moon by Nobu Kuala Lumpur” presents us with a mooncake box that we simply cannot resist. The festive box comes with four delicious flavours – Green Tea Lotus, Black Sesame Lotus, Kabocha (Pumpkin) Lotus with Single Yolk and Red Bean Paste, priced at RM128 Nett per box.

The Full Moon Box can be purchased from 28th August onwards at Nobu KL or at Mid Valley Megamall’s Mooncake Exhibition commencing on the 4th of September.

7. Starbucks 

In the spirit of encouraging everyone to experience the “taste of togetherness” this mid-autumn festival, Starbucks has designed in a two-tiered Tiffin carrier inspired by the traditional “Porcelain Tingkats” used by the Baba and Nyonya communities. Priced at
RM138.80, the mooncake set includes 2 new flavours and 2 returning favourites, which will be available from 7th September onwards.
