When it comes to food, the popular saying is: “One man’s meat is another man’s poison“. But, undercooked chicken is everyone’s poison, as this netizen pointed out after receiving the chicken from a popular fast food chain.

Recently, this netizen claimed he was left disgusted after ordering fried chicken from McDonald’s in Batu Pahat. Apparently, he had gotten a nasty surprise when he bit into it as it was allegedly undercooked. Needless to say, he quickly took to his socials to put the branch on blast.

In his Facebook post, the netizen included photos of the undercooked chicken and a receipt. The photos showed a piece of thigh meat that had been torn open. Inside, the meat looked pink and raw, with a bit of blood seeping from the flesh as well. His receipt also showed he had paid RM20 for the meal.

“What’s the problem? It’s not about the RM20. This is affecting my appetite,” he ranted in his post. “When I packed it home and saw it like this, I got really angry as it wasted my time. Packing such rotten food, can’t you get professionals to cook it?” He also called out the branch, asking how they could serve such food to customers. “(Your) food is not standard!” he exclaimed.

Some speculated the chicken might have been cooked while still frozen. “There are SOPs for how long it takes to fry (the) chicken and how many minutes for French fries,” one explained. Others gave suggestions on how to handle the issue. Several urged him to complain via phone call, another stated he could get a new piece if he informed the restaurant. One even opined: “This is why I eat more KFC.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time it has happened as a previous netizen once complained about her nuggets being undercooked.  Hopefully, McDonald’s will be able to resolve the problem as it’s not only unappetizing, it’s also unhygienic!
