Many celebrities undergo health treatments to ensure they’re in top shape to handle their busy schedule. Hong Kong singer Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) is one of those stars known for caring for her body through various methods. However, her recent experience with a traditional Chinese medicine treatment shocked her fans.

The singer is currently gearing up for her upcoming concert in Hong Kong, which means the star is going all out with preparations, from dance practice to working out. She has also shared her progress with fans on social media, adding to their excitement. Recently, Sammi revealed that she underwent a traditional Chinese treatment called scraping. Scraping acts similarly to massages, but instead of hands, the practitioner uses a tool to scrap parts of the body, particularly the back and arms.

The treatment can help reduce tension and improve circulation – but a notable downside is that the scraping method can cause external bruising. In the photos the 52-year-old shared on her Instagram Stories, it is clearly shown that she suffered quite a lot of bruising after the scraping treatment. However, the bruising was most prominent on the star’s back because one photo showed her back covered in purplish-red marks. The bruising also extended to the back of her neck and her arms, as well as her collarbones.

The redness was also noticeable in one of Sammi’s Instagram posts, where she wears a sleeveless mini-dress. Supposedly, the colours of the bruises reflect the person’s health – the darker and longer it appears, the more tension and toxins are in the body. This caused many fans to worry about Sammi’s well-being, believing the singer is under immense pressure from her busy schedule. However, fans also praised the star for trying various treatments to maintain her health, showing how she’s taking good care of herself despite her workload.
