Whether you’re a recent graduate or in between jobs, part-time jobs are great for those looking to earn extra cash without committing to a full-time position. But the question is – which job – or company – pays the best?

Twitter user @/runningpanda_ started the conversation by asking netizens what part-time job pays the highest, with many chiming in on their suggestions.

One of the many suggestions was working part-time at pharmacies like Watsons or Guardian. According to one netizen, the two stores would pay around RM9 to RM10 per hour, while another netizen shared that there are benefits of bonus allowances for daily attendance or if you offer to be a promoter for a roadshow.

A former Petronsains part-timer said the science museum also offers around RM8 to RM10 per hour, depending on the work day. For those who are good with kids, there were also suggestions to work for Kiddocare, a platform offering on-demand babysitting, saying that you can get up to RM20 per hour. Online tutoring was another suggestion, with many saying you can earn up to RM55 for a private one-hour session and up to RM400 for group sessions.

A few netizens also suggested being a part-time sales agent for brands like Coway and Cuckoo, adding that the commission-based pay could offer more earnings depending on how many units are sold. If you’re interested in working for a film or television production, one netizen shared that being a freelance crew member could earn you about RM250 to RM500 per day. Others have also suggested live show hosting, saying that one hosting session on TikTok Live will pay about RM40.

The tweet had many other suggestions, including working at retail stores, food establishments and even as a drop-shipper for local brands.
