Sometimes, in moments of dire need, there will be people who can and will step in. Hence the phrase, “not all heroes wear capes.” And luckily for this lady, someone did manage to save her in her time of need!
A few days ago, a man wielding a knife was threatening a woman at a showroom. Things seemed at a stalemate, at least until an ordinary unassuming man appeared to help diffuse the situation. Not only did he manage to handle the situation, he also apparently managed to nab the perpetrator!
A CCTV video of a hostage situation at what looks to be a car showroom recently went viral on social media. The incident, dated 18th March, reportedly occurred in Beranang, Semenyih in Selangor. The footage started with a man backing away from another woman while holding a Malay lady hostage. From his movements, he was allegedly holding a knife to his hostage’s back.
The perpetrator then tried to leave the showroom, while still holding the woman. However, he was stopped in his tracks by another man who approached him from outside the store. The man attempted to approach the situation calmly, but the perpetrator yanked the woman away and lashed out at the man when he got too close.
However, the man didn’t give up. He tried to calm the perpetrator down again by talking to him. But, it seems he was only waiting to strike because the second the perpetrator got distracted, he swooped in to disarm him! The man managed to toss the knife away before others rushed in to help subdue the perpetrator. The woman herself made sure to grab the knife and fling it far away outside the showroom.
According to China Press, the perpetrator’s motive is not known and police have yet to comment on the issue. But, we’re certainly glad the woman is safe, thanks to the man’s brave actions!
