It’s been a while since we last saw The Weeknd perform in Asia, so it’s no surprise that fans are eagerly waiting for his return. Thankfully, it appears that the wait will soon come to an end, as Live Nation has recently teased some exciting news.
On 6th May 2026 (Wednesday), Live Nation Malaysia shared a post on its social media page with the caption, “A Foreshadowing Of The Final Leg”. The post in question features footage of The Weeknd’s performance from his “After Hours Til Dawn” tour. Despite little to no details, many believe the post is a teaser for a possible The Weeknd concert in Malaysia.
It’s also worth noting that various other Live Nation Asia accounts, including Japan, Thailand and Singapore, have shared the same video with the same caption. This detail led many to believe the singer will soon announce the Asian leg of his tour. It’s also believed that the Asian leg will be the final leg of the tour, which has already taken place in North America and Europe.
Interestingly, talks about The Weeknd performing in Malaysia previously emerged in 2024 after a local music insider hinted at a possible concert. Hello Universe CEO Adam Ashraf Kingsman also recently teased the singer’s concert on a livestream, adding that it will take place in October. If the rumours are true, it would mark The Weeknd’s first show in Malaysia.

In case you’re wondering, the “After Hours Til Dawn” tour first kicked off in 2022 and will continue until later this year. For now, the tentative final show will take place on 6th September in Lisbon, Portugal. While the tour initially promoted the “After Hours” album, recent show setlists also include songs from “Dawn FM” and “Hurry Up Tomorrow”.
With no official announcement yet, fans in Asia can only sit in patience. Nevertheless, we suggest fans start saving up and blocking out their October schedule.
