The sudden death of actress Kim Saeron (김새론) remains one of the most talked-about tragedies in South Korea’s entertainment industry. On top of her passing, the legal dispute between her family and actor Kim Soo-hyun has yet to be resolved. Nevertheless, the star lives on through her body of work and will continue to be remembered and celebrated by fans and those who had the privilege of working with her.
Her first posthumous film, titled “Guitar Man”, co-starring Lee Seon-jeong, was released earlier this year, with all profits made from the official soundtrack donated to the Korean Life Respect Hope Centre. Soon, fans will bid their last goodbye to the star after the release of her final posthumous film, “Every Day, We”. Here’s what we know so far:

Prior to her death, Kim Sae Ron had been preparing for an acting comeback and had secured roles in several projects following an extended hiatus. One of these was “Every Day, We”, in which she stars opposite Lee Chae Min as her character’s love interest. Earlier today (Tuesday, 30th December), the film’s release date and official poster were finally unveiled.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Every Day, We” follows Ho Su (Lee Chae Min), who unexpectedly confesses his feelings to Yeo Wool (Kim Saeron) on the eve of their first day of high school. The official poster depicts the two main characters sharing an umbrella in the rain with a tagline that reads, “Does first love really never come true?” As seen in the image, the film, originally slated for a 2025 release, is now set to premiere in cinemas in February 2026. The exact date is yet to be announced.

“Every Day, We” reportedly marks Kim Saeron’s final posthumous film, so it’s expected that fans who have enjoyed her work will surely have a hard time seeing the actress in her last role. Cast members have yet to share anything about the upcoming film and their time with the star, but we’re sure that we’ll be hearing more updates in the future as the premiere date draws nearer.
