The scandal between South Korean actor Kim Soohyun (김수현) and the late actress Kim Saeron (김새론) continues with more damning accusations. The actress’ family recently held a press conference in Seoul where they shared audio recordings from Kim Saeron about the disgraced actor.
On 7th May 2025, the legal representative of Kim Saeron’s family, Bu Jiseok, and YouTuber Kim Seui of Garo Sero Institute held a press conference to reveal new information about Kim Soohyun and his relationship with the late Kim Saeron. Here’s what was shared:

Kim Soohyun Sent Photos Of Him Sleeping With A Female Idol To Kim Saeron
In the audio recording dated 10th January 2025, Kim Saeron claimed to an acquaintance that Kim Soohyun once sent her photos of him with a female idol after having sex with the individual. She also alleged that the actor saved the idol’s name as “Seaweed” on his contact list because he said the idol smelled like seaweed.
Kim Saeron Admitted To Having Sex With Kim Soohyun When She Was In Middle School
To the same acquaintance, Kim Saeron admitted to having sexual relations with Kim Soohyun. She mentioned that she dated the actor from middle school until she entered University. The late star then alleged that their first time sleeping together happened when she was in the 2nd year of middle school, making her 13 or 14 during the incident.
Kim Soohyun Subjected Kim Saeron To Sexual Harassment And Abuse
Kim Saeron’s family also said they’ve filed a complaint against Kim Soohyun, alleging that he violated the Child Welfare Act. In addition to forcing the actress to engage in sexually inappropriate acts, the family claimed Kim Soohyun subjected Kim Saeron to sexual harassment and abuse during their relationship.
The Informant Who Leaked Kim Saeron’s Recording Was Brutally Attacked
During the press conference, Bu Jiseok and Kim Seui revealed that the informant who shared the recording was attacked by two assailants from Korea and China on 30th April. The victim was allegedly stabbed nine times in the neck and sustained other injuries. The two said the attack was premeditated, likely to prevent the recording from going public.
Kim Saeron’s family has requested police protection for themselves and Kim Seui, who have been publicly supporting the family. Kim Soohyun and his agency have addressed these new allegations, claiming the recordings were fabricated. The agency also said they would take legal action against Kim Saeron’s family and Kim Seui.
