Long-time lovers Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are rumoured to have quietly ended their engagement after almost a decade together. Reports say that the relationship was strained due to controversies surrounding Perry and the low reception of her “143” album.
Rumours of their alleged split started on 9th June 2025, as sources from Vulture report that the pair’s relationship had started to strain following Katy’s “143” album and the “Lifetimes Tour” underperforming. “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension”, says sources from Vulture. The singer’s trip on Blue Origin had also impacted their relationship with sources saying, “He [Orlando Bloom] always thought it was a stupid idea and she wouldn’t get anything positive out of it”.
Despite everything being just rumours, the couple’s outside activities have seemed to further spur divorce rumours as the “Teenage Dream” artist was seen renting out her Montecito home, which she had a three-year-long legal battle to acquire, to Chris Pratt and his wife. Sources said that Katy had previously suggested that it was the ideal place for the pair to raise their family, which included their daughter Daisy Bloom. It is a peculiar fact that she had rented the home after battling tooth and nail for what she deemed as her “family home”.
