Concert experiences are unlike any other and who wouldn’t be thrilled about their favourite artist announcing their tour in Malaysia? Fans have manifested and even requested concert organisers to make their dreams of seeing their idols a reality regardless if it’s for a festival, showcase or a full-blown concert.
Many have also shown excitement at the slightest hint that an artist might do a show here but of course, it’s always wise to not get your hopes up. Thankfully, these netizens weren’t so easily convinced after a hint was given out that a certain K-pop group might be coming to Malaysia soon.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 7th May), ticketing service Klear Services hinted that K-pop boy group RIIZE (라이즈) might be doing a fan concert in Malaysia soon. The group has been one of the most highly-requested K-pop acts to perform in Malaysia so you can imagine the disappointment when our country was not even listed for their current “RIIZING DAY” world tour.
Though normally such a hint would excite fans, many are sceptical about the post by the ticketing service. As seen in the screenshots below, many RIIZE fans warned the admin about possibly lying to them while others are hoping that the tweet is legit. People are also urging others to not believe such hints until SM Entertainment or even a legitimate local concert organiser makes an official announcement.
Responding to the comments, Klear Service actually tagged RIIZE saying, “[The fans] don’t trust me 👀”, possibly to convince everyone that there is truth behind their post. Even so, netizens replied that they’re still not buying it until an official announcement is made.
We applaud fans for not being so easily fooled, and to be fair, ticketing service accounts don’t really have the best of reputations. Even if RIIZE end up not announcing a concert in Malaysia, fans could still catch them in our neighbouring country Singapore this 20th July at Singapore EXPO Hall 7. No official details about ticket sales have been released just yet so be sure to stay tuned for more updates.
