It appears there’s another update to the Judassime-Jisoo (지수) controversy. After accusing the BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) member and her team of stealing pieces from their brand, fashion designer Benjamin Voortmans has shared a new statement on the issue to reclarify the allegations.
On 8th May 2026 (Friday), Benjamin took to Instagram to share another statement regarding the ongoing issue with Jisoo and her agency, Blissoo. To recap, last week, the Antwerp-based designer accused the singer and her team of stealing after they failed to return loaned items from their Judassisme brand. The brand reportedly loaned the items for a photoshoot, which kept getting delayed, leading to the team keeping the items for longer than expected.

After their initial accusation, Benjamin clarified the accusation, explaining that they were voicing frustration towards Jisoo’s styling team, and not the idol herself. The designer also noted that they were working out the issue with the team after the first video went viral. However, likely due to backlash, Benjamin now reiterates that neither Jisoo nor her agency were involved in the situation.
Benjamin shared in the post, “I want to publicly clarify the situation regarding Jisoo and her team, and also take responsibility for the way I initially addressed it.” The designer continued, explaining that neither Jisoo nor Blissoo had stolen or personally kept any garments from their brand. Benjamin also added that they didn’t intend to accuse her and her agency of doing so at any point in the posts.
However, Benjamin noted that the lack of communication regarding the missing garments affected their work, thus prompting them to go public with the issue. It’s unclear who was directly involved in the issue, but the designer said the styling team has assured them that they will return the loaned items. Ending their post, Benjamin said they hope the clarification will help the public separate Jisoo’s name from the situation, while still highlighting the impact of the issue.

Jisoo fans and netizens have reacted to the post with mixed reactions. Unsurprisingly, many BLINKs continue to criticise Benjamin for his accusations, even calling for Blissoo to take legal action against the designer for alleged defamation. However, many independent designers sided with the Judassime founder, lamenting that the issue is another example of celebrity styling teams taking advantage of smaller designers.
Notably, Benjamin could’ve handled the situation better from the start. However, arguably, the styling team should’ve also clearly communicated with the designer before the issue went public. Nevertheless, we hope everything works out in the end for all parties involved.
