We’ve all been fans of something or someone. However, not all of us get to meet our idols and stars. Well, Malaysian singer Jess Lee (李佳薇) managed to get lucky recently when she met South Korean artist Rain (비, Jung Ji-hoon, 정지훈).
Rain and Jess both performed during Betadia Night on 27th August. The singer was fortunate enough to meet Rain backstage during the show and got to spend a few moments with him! She gushed about the meet later on her socials and claims he’s still as charming as ever.
Jess has apparently always been a huge fan of Rain. Much like the others that night, she was in total fangirl mode when she laid eyes on the esteemed singer. However, unlike the rest, Jess actually managed to meet her idol in person.
“Rain’s charm can’t be stopped!” she exclaimed. “I have seen a lot of (idols), but when I see Rain himself, I can’t help but feel a little girlish and get nervous! (He’s) super handsome! I’m totally obsessed with (his abs)!” Jess added that he was super nice.
“After taking the photo, he shook my hand and said (it was) a pleasure meeting you. I feel (the honour is all mine)!” she added. Jess commented that despite becoming more prestigious, Rain has remained humble. “(A) real superstar!” Jess said. “Also a role model for artists! Love!”
Netizens were happy for her, with several claiming they were in tears for not having the same opportunity. “So envious,” one sighed. Others added they understood her emotions and would have fangirled like her too.
Well, there’s no denying that Jess got very lucky! We’re sure the singer will cherish that brief meeting for a long while. Hopefully, the next time Rain is in Malaysia, others will get lucky like her too.
