Another idol is bidding temporary goodbye to his fans.
Jang Hyunseung, former member of BEAST, has confirmed his enlistment date. His label Cube Entertainment stated that he’ll be conscripting later this month.
Their official statement reads, “Jang Hyunseung will be enlisting on 24th July. As Jang Hyunseung himself wishes to quietly enlist, we will not be revealing the time and location.” He will be serving as an active duty soldier once he finishes his basic training.
His enlistment means that his former group members will be going to the army soon. Dujun and Junhyung will turn 29 this year while Gikwang and Yoseob will turn 29 next year.
However, as there is only a few months difference between their birthdays, they could enlist together.
Hyunseung is the latest idol to go for his mandatory military service. In recent months, INFINITE’s Sunggyu, 2PM’s Jun.K and Wooyoung have enlisted. Other idols confirmed to conscript this month include CNBLUE’s Minhyuk and Jungshin. 2AM’s Jo Kwon will enlist in August.
