It’s been over a year since 43-year-old Malaysian actress Jacqueline Ch’ng (庄思敏) divorced her husband, Taiwanese businessman Brian Yang (杨秉逸). And well, it seems that after being single for so long, the actress is finally ready to move on.
Datuk Bill Ch’ng‘s daughter, Jacqueline Ch’ng recently went on a hunt for a new boyfriend by visiting a marriage market held in a park in China. Unfortunately, her results while fishing for a beau weren’t the best, especially after one lady snubbed her over her divorce status.
Jacqueline recently shared her experience hunting for a blind date on her Douyin. The actress came fully prepared with a poster and flyers presenting her dating resume. Her life details were all laid out, from her age, height and occupation, with a mention of her wealth. There was even a photo of her showing off her sexy long legs! Well, luckily for her, her prep paid off.
The actress managed to attract some attention from parents of her potential suitors. Unfortunately, she wasn’t the best match for some of them. Despite several praising Jacqueline for her well-maintained looks, one had to decline her proposition claiming the age gap between the actress and her son was too big. Still, she thought she hit the jackpot when one lady felt the actress would be a good fit for her 40-year-old grandson.
The lady shared some details about him, including the fact that he had divorced once. But, upon discovering that Jacqueline was also a divorcee, the lady turned her down immediately. “I prefer simple and unmarried (women),” the lady explained. It left Jacqueline feeling rather slighted by the double standards, and she later grumbled under her breath: “How come her son can be divorced, but I can’t?”
