Malaysians have been spoiled with tons of recent concert announcements – and it looks like we may be getting another one soon. Recently, a rumour has been floating around saying that Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon (김태연) may be coming to town for her solo concert.
A tweet by @/lix_lee007 suggested that the idol will be coming to Malaysia in August to hold her first solo concert here. The tweet reads, “Kim Taeyeon Asia Tour in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur in July and August respectively”, hinting that Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta will be part of her Asia tour.
Earlier this month, the Girls’ Generation member announced her new tour, “The ODD Of LOVE”, and revealed concert dates for Seoul, Hong Kong and Taipei. While no official announcement has been made, there were also rumours that the 34-year-old will be holding concerts in other countries in Asia.
The Twitter user is well-known among K-pop fans as a concert investor who has tweeted insider news for other K-pop concerts, so fans are hoping that his tweet will be a hint and not a mere prediction. Since many have been waiting years for a Girls Generation concert in Kuala Lumpur, it’s no surprise that Malaysian SONEs are excited at the thought of the idol finally holding a concert here.
