2024 has been incredible for American star Ariana Grande – with the release of her Grammy-nominated album “Eternal Sunshine” and her critically acclaimed movie “Wicked”. So, what does the singer have in store for 2025 after a successful year? According to her, a lot – but not touring.
The singer recently spoke with Variety magazine about her plans for her career. During the interview, Ariana addressed rumours of her going back on tour after a long break to focus on acting. Previously, there were rumours that the star would soon hit the road for a 2025 world tour, prompting excitement from Arianators. Unfortunately, Ariana said there’s no tour in her plans for next year – or even the few years after that.

According to Ariana, she wants to turn her focus on acting for the next few years, hoping to expand her filmography. The 31-year-old said, “I think the next few years, hopefully, we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now.” It’s worth noting that, despite being known as a singer, Ariana started her career as a child actress, most notably playing Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon series, “Victorious”.
However, Ariana assured fans that she would still be making music, albeit not as often as she used to. While on “Wicked” co-star Bowen Yang’s podcast, she shared, “I’m always going to make music. I’m always going to go on stage. I’m always going to do pop stuff, I pinky promise, but I don’t think doing it at the rate that I’ve been doing for the past 10 years is where I see the next 10 years.”

While it’s understandable that fans are upset they won’t be able to see Ariana on tour, at least they’ll still get to see her on the big screen! In 2025, the star will reprise her role as Glinda in “Wicked: For Good”, the second part of the new “Wicked” adaption.
