Homegrown artisanal ice creamery Inside Scoop is known for its innovative flavours and delectable ice creams – but their recent social post has got netizens praising them for their generosity. In light of Ramadan, the ice cream chain announced they’re allowing Muslims to break their fast in their stores.

The announcement was shared through Inside Scoop’s official Instagram account on Monday (11th March). In the post, the ice cream chain wrote, “Break your fast with us! Just bring your food. It’s fine even if you don’t buy our ice cream. We promise!”. The poster also included additional information for the campaign, noting that it applies throughout the entire month of Ramadan at all Inside Scoop outlets.

Through their captions, Inside Scoop wrote, “Come and join us at any Inside Scoop outlet for a delightful iftar throughout this Ramadan month! It doesn’t matter if you bring food from outside or eat our ice cream. What matters is that we break our fast together!”. The chain also said the campaign is to create a memorable iftar (breaking of fast) experience with their customers.

The announcement received tons of enthusiasm and praise from netizens for the Inside Scoop’s generosity. Many said that it’s great for the store to offer a place for customers to break their fast, given that restaurants are likely to be packed during that iftar. Some also applaud the move, noting that the idea promotes togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.

Some netizens also said that the campaign is a great marketing move on Inside Scoop’s part because customers would likely purchase ice cream once they entered the store. However, others urged those joining the campaign to be mindful of their trash and to clean up after themselves.

This is not the first time Inside Scoop has allowed customers to break their fast in their stores as they did a similar campaign last year but at selected outlets only. Nevertheless, kudos to Inside Scoop for the small yet brilliant move! We hope those joining the Inside Scoop in-store iftar will have a great time breaking their fast with their fellow Muslims.
