Comedy legend Kumar is ready tickle your funny bone with his brand-new international show, “Beats, Rhymes & Punchlines”. Set to be a retro riot that’s part stand-up, part musical, and all heart, the beloved Singaporean will not only be returning to Kuala Lumpur but also touring across 3 other states – namely Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Johor Bahru.

Sprinkled generously with throwback vibes, timeless laughs, and a crash course in generational wisdom, Kumar is back bolder and brash. Audiences can expect the unapologetic vibes of the 80s and 90s to school the Gen Z crowd on the grit and grind of yesteryear with a side of Gen X wisdom, and a sprinkle of Boomer spice.

The new `Beats, Rhymes & Punchlines’ Tour will showcase Kumar’s latest new material blending his signature style with fresh perspectives on the absurdities of modern life, cultural innuendos and generational idiosyncrasies. From the battles of college backbenchers to the cultural clashes of today, Kumar’s tour in Malaysia promises a laughter-filled journey that spans generations.

While `Beats, Rhymes & Punchlines’ is Kumar’s love letter to the 80s and 90s, it is also a wake up call for today’s generation. Be prepared to walk down memory lane. To quote the performer, “we’re connecting the dots between then and now, and laughing at all the madness in between. It’s time to school the young ones and remind the older ones how we got here—with a lot of humour, some great music, and maybe a few hard knocks along the way.”

The details of Kumar’s Malaysian tour are as follows:

  • 5th October – Penang at The Light Hotel @8.30pm
  • 12th October – Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur @8.30pm
  • 19th October – Le Meridien Hotel, Kota Kinabalu @8.00pm
  • 25th October – Renaissance Hotel, Johor @8.30pm
