“Baby, why I’m so lonely?”
After releasing many teaser photos, JYP Entertainment has finally released the official music video for Wonder Girls’ (원더걸스) summer comeback single, “Why So Lonely”, at midnight on Tuesday (5th July).
Unlike other Wonder Girls title tracks, this fresh new reggae-inspired track is co-composed by member Sunmi, Hyelim, and composer Hong Ji Sang while Yubin, Sunmi, and Hyelim penned the lyrics. “Why So Lonely” is about how girls can get crazy thoughts when they are left alone by their lover for too long.
The music video focuses on the girls and their relationship with the same onscreen “boyfriend” (a life-size Ken doll) and how they eventually got fed up with him being missing all the time. They then decided to get their “revenge” on him by brutally kidnapping him.
Other scenes show the girls playing as a band with their respective music instruments – Sunmi as the bass guitarist; rapper Yubin plays the drums; Hyerim strums the guitar; and Yeeun hits the keyboard.

Wonder Girls’ latest single consists of 3 songs including “To The Beautiful You” and “Sweet and Easy”. Shortly after the digital release of “Why So Lonely”, the song topped all 8 Korean music charts.
