“You are my starlight, you shine on my heart.”
Taeyeon’s latest music video, “Starlight”, has been released and it features up-and-coming R&B singer Dean (stylised as DΞΔN). Apart from contributing to the vocals, both artistes also acted in the music video as a cute couple.
The adorable music video starts off with happy-go-lucky Taeyeon walking up to a hotdog truck with bottles of mustard and tomato sauce in hand, seemingly wanting to buy some food. However, the playful singer soon begins to squirt sauce all over the hotdog vendor and accidentally gets some on Dean.
Meeting again in a back alley by chance, the couple falls in love at first sight and starts a relationship. The music video then chronicles the couple’s days together as they gradually spend more time and grow closer to each other. The onscreen couple can be seen spending time together skateboarding, at the beach, dancing, and at an amusement park, but there’s a twist at the end.

“Starlight” is the pre-release song and 2nd title track for Taeyeon’s upcoming 2nd mini-album, “Why“. The effort will contain 7 numbers, with fellow SNSD Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon participating in 1 of the songs, “Up & Down”. The album and music video for the title track of the same name will be released at midnight tomorrow (Tuesday, 28th June).
