Warner Bros has finally dropped the full-length trailer for its upcoming DC Comics film, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice“.

The trailer premiered on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” after Warner Bros. dropped an exclusive sneak during the midseason finale of FOX’s “Gotham” on Tuesday.

Batman Superman Dawn of Justice

Directed by Zack Snyder, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. It is produced by Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer, and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

The new 3-minute long trailer includes a footage where Ben Affleck‘s Batman is being chained up like a prisoner in what appears to be a dungeon. It also showed a powerful confrontation between Affleck’s character and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel.

While the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs, a new threat quickly arises and puts mankind in greater danger.

Doomsday

Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane will be reprising their roles from “Man of Steel” in the movie. New cast members include Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” marks the beginning of the DC Cinematic Universe after Warner Bros. revealed that there are 10 DC films currently in development.

The full movie slate is as follows:

  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – 25th March 2016
  • Suicide Squad – 5th August 2016
  • Wonder Woman – 23rd June 2017
  • Justice League Part One – 17th November 2017
  • The Flash – 23rd March 2018
  • Aquaman – 27th July 2018
  • Shazam – 5th April 2019
  • Justice League Part Two – 14th June 2019
  • Cyborg – 3rd April 2020
  • Green Lantern – 19th June 2020
