Throughout their adolescence, the inseparable duo showed love and support for each other’s music and acting careers.
However, as their careers progressed, their friendship deteriorated. Their 18-year-long friendship had come to an end after Demi Lovato’s interview in 2020, when the “Cool for the Summer” singer confirmed that they were not friends.

The pair made their Hollywood debut in 2003 on a reality TV show called “The Simple Life,” and went on to become the hottest socialites, the “It” girls of their generation, and ultimate BFFs throughout their careers. Despite their close bond, the girls had a feud that strained their friendship, which was exacerbated by their fans taking sides while they were on Season 3 of their reality show.
