Whenever a star shares photos in wedding attire, people are bound to get curious. Recently. Hong Kong actress Samantha Ko (高海寧) posed in a wedding dress, leaving netizens wondering if it was a hint for good news.
Earlier today (Wednesday, 26th November 2025), Samantha took to Instagram to share several photos of her donning a sleeveless wedding dress and veil. In the pictures, the star posed alone, looking radiant in white. Given the sudden nature of the post, many wondered if the post was Samantha’s way of announcing marriage news.
However, it turns out the photos were for Samantha’s latest TVB drama, “The Queen of News 2 (新闻女王2)”, in which she plays news anchor Kathy Hui. The actress even quipped about her single status, writing in the captions, “Even wedding photos can be taken solo. What can’t you do on your own?”
While the photos aren’t a hint that the 38-year-old is tying the knot, they did fool some fans and fellow celebrities. Actress Kaman Kong (江嘉敏) said that she almost congratulated Samantha on her “marriage”. Meanwhile, singer Kandy Wong (糖妹) said she was surprised when she saw the photos. At the same time, fans also praised the actress’s beauty.
As for her love life, Samantha hasn’t been in a public relationship in years. Throughout her career, her only known partner is singer-songwriter and former TVB music director Tang Chi Wai (鄧智偉), with whom she parted ways in 2020 after five years together.
