A year ago, Malaysian-born actor Hero Tai (戴祖雄) and Ukrainian model Tatiana Marchyshyna (林佳娜) revealed that they were officially dating. It hadn’t been the smoothest love story for them as they went from being friends with benefits to finally falling in love.
But, it seems the two are now ready for the next big step in their relationship. Just yesterday (18th June), Hero Tai got down on one knee and popped the question to a very shocked Tatiana. To everyone’s delight, she said yes!
The couple has been dating for about two years now. However, both Hero and Tatiana have shown that they are very comfortable with each other and have no issues sharing their lives with one another. In fact, last October, Tatiana had already hinted to Hero her desire to marry him after she caught the wedding bouquet at their friend’s wedding.
Well, on 18th June, Tatiana got her wish. Hero had apparently spent two months planning the whole proposal down to the wire. Tatiana had been playing competitive poker with her friends when the dealer placed cards on the table, spelling out: “Will you marry me?” in Mandarin. Beneath it were photocards of Tatiana and Hero.
While she was still shocked and processing the request, their friends flooded the room holding signs asking the same question in English, Mandarin and even Ukrainian. But the best was yet to come. Hero himself walked in, dressed stylishly in a pink suit, an excited smile on his face and a certain ring box in hand. He got down on one knee and held out the ring to her. “Of course I’ll marry (you)!” Tatiana shouted after accepting the ring.
The couple shared a quick kiss before Hero helped Tatiana put the ring on, both smiling broadly amidst their celebrating friends. Both Hero and Tatiana have already shared how much they are looking forward to getting married, with Tatiana boldly declaring she was “going to be Mrs. Tai“.
Hero himself shared that he was delighted with how perfect the proposal was. “I’ve heard repeated warnings from seniors, (saying): “Marriage is a difficult road”. But, I still believe that my love with Jana can overcome everything! No matter how difficult the road ahead is, we can conquer everything with love!” he penned. “Hope this “All-In spirit” can always be with us! On the road of marriage, let us work together! Mrs. Tai.”
Tatiana Marchyshyna has reportedly already met Hero Tai’s family and his parents allegedly think highly of her. Hero once shared that his parents “think she’s cute like that she’s a little younger than me“. But, Hero has yet to meet Tatiana’s parents. He hopes to do so as soon as the situation allows; as the war in Ukraine is still ongoing.
Their socials have since been flooded with friends and fans congratulating them. Many are excited for the duo, and understandably so! Well, we too would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to Hero Tai and Tatiana Marchyshyna, and hope they live a happy, healthy life together!
