After announcing it 5 months ago, Hai Di Lao (海底捞) is finally debuting its first Malaysian store next week.
As aforementioned, foodies will be able to find the popular hot pot franchise located at the ground floor of Sunway Pyramid Hotel. We don’t know about you, but we’re already salivating!
According to Come On Let’s Travel (走吧! 我们旅行去!), the soft launch of Hai Di Lao will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, 27th March) where the store will be open from 10am to 10pm. The official launch will only take place on 1st April (following Monday) and will be open from 10am till 3am.
Known for its fragrant and flavourful soups, Hai Di Lao started off as a humble shop selling “Ma La Tang” (which literally means spicy-numbing soup). But now, the brand ( has over 300 outlets in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
It was announced that those in Malaysia will get to taste some exclusive soup bases which are only available here. They include laksa and peppered pig stomach soup. Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?
Winrayland previously reported that Hai Di Lao won’t just have 1 but 3 new outlets in Malaysia. Besides Sunway Pyramid, the other 2 branches are expected to debut in Pavilion KL (2nd outlet) and Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang (3rd outlet) respectively.
