Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has marked another milestone! The cinema chain recently announced that 55 of its cinema halls nationwide are now INFINITY VISION-certified, the highest number of INFINITY VISION-certified halls in Malaysia.
The news comes ahead of the release of “Avengers: Endgame: Encore” and “Avengers: Doomsday”, which will be available at selected GSC cinemas starting 24th September (Thursday) and 17th December 2026 (Thursday), respectively. Notably, these are the first films to play in INFINITY VISION-certified theatres, with GSC noting more upcoming releases to follow.

For those wondering, INFINITY VISION is a certification for Premium Large Format (PLF) theatres, meaning moviegoers are guaranteed an exceptional film presentation. Halls with INFINITY VISION have bigger screens, brighter images and outstanding sound, overall offering an incredible and more immersive theatrical experience. It’s worth noting that INFINITY VISION isn’t a film format like IMAX, but a quality certification.
Having 55 INFINITY VISION-certified halls is also a notable feat for GSC, as certifications require evaluation against rigorous standards. To receive INFINITY VISION certification, the cinema hall requires a screen at least 45 feet wide, with brightness levels of up to 1 foot-lamberts in 2D and/or 6 foot-lamberts in 3D. The halls must also have either immersive sound, like Dolby Atmos, or 7.1 sound.

The 55 INFINITY VISION-certified halls are located across Malaysia, including in East Malaysia. In Klang Valley, the GSC theatres with INFINITY VISION-certified halls include Aurum Theatre at The Exchange TRX, Aurum Theatre at The Gardens Mall, GSC 1 Utama, GSC IOI City Mall 1 (West), GSC LaLaport BBCC and GSC MyTown Shopping Centre. The full list of locations is available on the GSC website.
