Go Full Bougie With New Drops From Biver & Ulysse Nardin x Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons

Aside from being the season of gifts, December is also shaping up to be the season of elegance as two premium names in the watchmaking industry are releasing their respective pieces in time for the holidays.

From a truly one-of-a-kind timepiece to a watch that immortalises the Gulf of Arabia, here are grand chronographs that’ll make you feel like a million bucks.

Biver’s “Echoes Of This Moment” Automatique Timepiece

Among the world’s renowned Swiss watchmakers, JC Biver is a prominent brand that managed to slip under the radar of much of the public, save for the brand’s most dedicated fans. Which is why many are simply astonished by the its entry for the TimeForArt-exclusive timepieces, titled “Echoes of this Moment.”

This luxury watch is a true wonder. Featuring an 18k white gold multi-layered enamel coating made in collaboration with Swiss artist Guillaume Ehinger, the handmade dial boasts a unique rippling effect that shimmers in various hues of reds, pinks, and greys.

The beauty of this dial is captured in a 39mm stainless steel case, which underscores its durability and longevity compared to a platinum or rose gold’s arguably fragile body.

On the other side of the watch is another mesmerising masterpiece all its own. Through an open case back, you can see the in-house JCB-003 calibre work inside. A large portion of the watch’s mechanisms remain the same, save for the main micro-rotor, which was made with 22k gold with the word “Echoes of this Moment” inscribed on its body along with Ehinger’s signature.

Biver’s “Echoes of This Moment” Automatique is a one-of-a-kind timepiece and will go for auction this December at the TimeForArt sale. If you’d like to know more about the auction or the watch, head on over to TimeForArt’s official website.

Ulysse Nardin x Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’ The Freak X Enamel Seddiqi

If you’re on the market for a timepiece that’s a little less unique – but still luxurious – then you can opt for another Swiss timepiece. The Freak X Enamel Seddiqi is an exclusive watch that was only made possible through the combined efforts of Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin and the leading Middle East luxury watch retailer, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.

The Freak X Enamel Seddiqi faithfully follows the Maison’s hands-and-dial-less design approach, where all indications of time are told through its state-of-the-art UN-230 Manufacture calibre.

The dial features a signature “Yas Blue” enamel hue. Its colour choice as well as its design were heavily inspired by the dazzling scenery of the sun setting over the waters of the Gulf of Arabia. Additionally, the brand’s Donzé Cadrans Manufacture creates this elegant hour disc through a very time-consuming and complex enamelling process.

The piece arrives in a 43mm grey titanium case with a white or black rubber “ballistic” strap. With only 30 examples available, the Ulysse Nardin Freak X Enamel Seddiqi piece retails for AED154,000 (~RM183,352) and can only be purchased through Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.
