Glenfiddich celebrates Lunar New Year 2025 with an exclusive collaboration with renowned contemporary ink artist Zhang Yu. The limited-edition gift packs, featuring Glenfiddich’s 12, 15, 18, and 21 Year Old variants, blend Eastern and Western cultures in honour of the festive season.
The designs draw inspiration from the meeting of Glenfiddich’s iconic stag and the legendary Nine-Coloured Deer, a mythical symbol of wisdom, compassion, and harmony in Chinese folklore.
Zhang Yu, a multimedia artist from Chengdu, brings her unique touch by combining traditional Chinese ink painting with modern artistic expressions. A graduate of the Beijing Film Academy, Zhang’s experience as an art director in the cinematic world shines through in her work. For this collaboration, she merges the East’s rich cultural heritage with Glenfiddich’s legacy, creating a stunning visual narrative that reflects both tradition and innovation. 
The creative concept, titled “A Gift of Great Encounters” (福鹿双至), emphasises the convergence of two great cultures through the symbolic meeting of the stag and the Nine-Coloured Deer. This artwork captures the spirit of Lunar New Year, celebrating togetherness, harmony, and the beauty of diverse traditions. The vibrant colours and fluid brushstrokes bring these figures to life, making this collection a meaningful tribute to the festive season.
Each limited-edition gift pack includes a bottle of Glenfiddich paired with whisky-nosing glasses or rock glasses, offering a premium whisky experience. Glenfiddich’s 21 Year Old Reserva Rum Cask, a Double Gold award-winner, is featured in the collection. Finished in Caribbean rum-soaked casks, it infuses notes of ginger, fig, lime, and toffee, creating a rich, exotic flavour profile that adds to the collection’s festive allure.
To celebrate the launch, Glenfiddich is hosting a series of pop-up events across the Klang Valley, featuring activities such as Chinese New Year calligraphy, a lucky draw wall, and bottle label personalisation.
