We’re only two weeks into the new year, yet so many news stories of celebrity marriages are already out! However, this one in particular excited everyone, as this Thai couple dated for almost two decades and officially tied the knot after the legalisation of same-sex marriage! Thai actors Weerayut Chansook (วีรยุทธ จันทร์สุข), also known as Arm, and Apiwat Apiwatseri (อภิวัฒน์ อภิวัฒน์เสรี), or Porsch, started dating 17 years ago and officially married on 10th January 2025 (Friday).
The couple, better known as PorschArm, got engaged in May 2014 but decided to wait until Thailand legalised same-sex marriage, which happened almost 11 years later. Following the announcement, many came out to make a public proposal. A few popular Thai figures were invited to their wedding to commemorate the lovely event together! Let’s look at some familiar faces who attended Porsch and Arm’s ceremony:
1. “Both” Nattapong Chinsoponsap (ณัฐพงศ์ ชินโสภณทรัพย์)
Popularly known as Both, Nattapong Chinsoponsap is an actor who starred in multiple shows, including “Top Secret Together,” which aired in 2021. The actor posted on his Instagram page about the ceremony, writing, “I’m very happy to be a part of your wedding. You make me feel good, unconditional love”. He’s also currently engaged to fellow actor “Newyear” Kitiwhut Sawutdimilin (กิตติวัฒน์ สวัสดิมิลินท์) so maybe we’ll get to witness their marriage next!
2. “Tong” Thanayut Thakoonauttaya (ธนายุทธ ฐากูรอรรถยา)
Although he never intended to join the entertainment industry, actor Thanayut Thakoonauttaya, a.k.a Tong, finds himself comfortably in the creative field and even writes novels! The 32-year-old was seen in pictures with the husbands, proving that he attended the wedding ceremony! It was an absolutely lovely sight to see.
3. “Toosafe” Krittawat Suwanich (กฤตวัฒน์ สุวานิชย์)
Having starred in multiple popular Thai shows like “Night Dream” and “Love Mechanics” and modelled in his free time, actor “Toosafe” Krittawat Suwanich has made himself quite the name in the entertainment field. The actor-model also posted about his attendance on his Instagram page, congratulating the lovely couple on their wedding.
4. “Ton” Thanasit Jaturaput (ธนษิต จตุรภุช)
A popular singer of the region, Thanasit Jaturaput, a.k.a Ton, has a huge fanbase of local and international listeners. Not only that, he also sang at Porsch and Arm’s engagement party and noted that it was a full-circle moment for both the singer and the couple in an Instagram post congratulating the newlyweds. “Congratulations to you brothers again. I watched the clip of your proposal at that time until we got to know each other, became friends, and sang at your wedding,” said the 35-year-old.
5. “Maengmum” Pimnitchakun Bumrungkit (พิมพ์นิชกุล บำรุงกิจ)
Thai-Chinese actress Maengmum also witnessed Porsch and Arm tie the knot in real time. She’s been in the creative industry for almost two decades and has since gained a large fanbase for herself. One of her most notable shows is “Strawberry Cheesecake,” where she was a host for 2 years. She also shared pictures and videos of the wedding on her Instagram page, giving fans a glimpse into the grand ceremony!
