If you haven’t heard, Thailand is the first nation in Southeast Asia to officially legalise same-sex marriage, resulting in numerous celebrities announcing their engagement or wedding. Following the news, two more popular Thailand actors recently disclosed their plans to tie the knot soon.
Popular Thailand BL (Boy-Love) actors, “Mew” Suppasit Jongcheveevat (ศุภศิษฏ์ จงชีวีวัฒน์) and “Tul” Pakorn “Tyler” Thanasrivanitchai (ตุลย์ ภากร ธนศรีวนิชชัย), known dearly by fans as “MewTul” recently got engaged following Mew’s proposal. The couple officially announced their relationship in July on the GoyNattyDream Youtube Channel, where they declared that they have been dating for some time.
On 24th October (Thursday), Mew held a press conference to promote his new single, “Absence (Heart’s Gap),” a love song written for Tul. However, during the event, the actor called his boyfriend onto the stage, surprising the audience and fans. “As I’ve said before, this song was written for the person who came to fulfil my empty heart,” said Mew as Tul got up on stage.
The actor then proceeded to kneel in front of his boyfriend to propose, much to everyone’s shock. With Mew’s unpredicted romantic gesture, Tul was seen tearing up before he accepted the proposal. The actor quickly embraced him and the beautiful moment was captured by the press and lucky fans who attended the event.
Fans took the news to social media by storm, praising and congratulating the couple. Many were happy to finally see the two engaged and together, whereas other fans couldn’t believe the sudden news and stated that the proposal felt like a fairytale.
