As we bade farewell to the Year of the Dragon, those who celebrate will begin preparing for the festivities leading up to the first day of the Lunar New Year. This will make way for the earthy snake on 29th January 2025, heralding a year of prosperity and abundance.

Embracing the spirit of sharing, it features 16 meticulously selected ingredients stacked in harmony. Highlights include succulent Cantonese Roast Duck, Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, Iberico Pork Ball, and top-quality dried seafood such as Whole Abalone, Japanese Dried Scallops, and Fish Maw. The vibrant assortment of vegetables adds a delightful touch, while the perfectly balanced flavours make this dish both visually stunning and utterly delectable.

Rooted in the rich heritage of Cantonese cuisine, Oversea Restaurant’s Hong Kong-Style Claypot Waxed Meat Rice is a dish not to be missed. Using the traditional clay pot cooking method, it locks in moisture and infuses each grain of rice with the essence of the ingredients. Maria’s SteakCafe offers a delightful fusion of East and West with its signature Pulled Beef Yee Sang – a classic festive dish enhanced with premium Western flavours. The pulled beef is slow-cooked to perfection until tender and juicy, then shredded and placed at the centre, ready to be tossed with the toppings for an explosion of flavours. For those who prefer a more traditional option, Maria’s SteakCafe also serves Smoked Salmon Yee Sang. Each version is meticulously prepared, ensuring every toss brings good fortune for the year ahead.

Available for both dine-in and delivery, Maria’s SteakCafe’s Yee Sang comes in two sizes: medium (RM98) and large (RM178), excluding taxes.

This Year of the Snake, Maria’s SteakCafe seamlessly blends festive tradition with the Western flair it is renowned for. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a large reunion party, Maria’s SteakCafe’s Abundance and Prosperity set menus are sure to impress! Each set is complemented by your choice of enticing Yee Sang, providing the perfect centrepiece for joyous tossing and prosperous exchanges – the more, the merrier! This is followed by Scallops with Tomato & Olive Salsa and a warm, creamy Mushroom Soup to tantalise the palate.

For the mains, the Abundance Sets offer two delightful options: meat or seafood. The Abundance Meat Set features Argentinian Striploin and New Zealand Lamb Cutlets, an ideal choice for meat lovers. Meanwhile, the Abundance Seafood Set boasts Grilled Salmon and Garlic Butter Prawns, symbolising abundance and joy.
