This show was created by klpac’s founders to share their sentiments about withstanding the surge of the pandemic and how they continue to strive for their dreams despite the turbulence they face. SAKTI: Malay Folk Tales, Aerial Artistry & Drumming Theatre
A fantasy tale unfolds as a heroic fisherman falls sick after bringing home a great harvest from sea. Day by day, his condition worsens. Rumours have it that evil forces followed him home from the ocean, and they are determined to rid the village of their hero. Knowing that there is no other way, the village wizard seeks help from the Seventh Princess of the Sea. Is the hero saved?
