As part of the celebrations, Haagen Dazs has launched the Rose Project in honour of their co-founder, Rose Mattus. In addition to this, from 6-10 March, all Haagen Dazs outlets in Malaysia will be having a Buy 2 Get 1 promotion. Also, there’ll be a limited-edition IWD run of 1960 Haagen Dazs ‘Founder’s Favourite’ ice cream pints created to honour Rose. The pints will be available in all Haagen Dazs Shops throughout March, and consumers can redeem this limited offer by nominating someone for The Rose Project.

Ramen Bar Shi Shi Do
Ramen Bar Shi Shi DoRamen aficionados are in for a treat at the Ramen Bar Shi Shi Do at The Gasket Alley in Petaling Jaya. This Japanese restaurant is a must-visit! With its retro atmosphere and décor, this restaurant will not only take you abroad, it’ll take you back in time to the 1980s.
Forget regular ramens, because at Ramen Bar Shi Shi Do, you get to try ramen flavours that’ll blow your mind. Some of the bizarre but must-tries are Chocolate Ramen (literally a bar of chocolate in your ramen soup) and Croissant Ramen (a combination of Black Garlic Curry Soup with 2 slices of Char siew, topped with Brown Shimeji mushrooms, Bean sprouts, Cabbage, Egg and Croissant). Do try out other items available on the rice menu, as well as sides and cool beverages.

The Bingfen Company
Bingfen, also called ice jelly, is a Chinese dessert native to Southwest China. The unique thing about it is that it comes in a bowl of iced transparent jelly, along with assorted toppings. The one that The Bingfen Company offers comes with toppings like butterfly pea flowers, lemons and passion fruit sugar, which gives you a guilt-free and healthy dessert. Despite the bright colours, this cooling dessert is all-natural. Being a roadside dessert stall, The Bingfen Company sells bingfen at various locations. Follow them on Instagram to know their latest location to try out their amazing and refreshing bingfen.
Ah Yi Lok-Lok
Lok lok is a specialty prepared in the style of steamboat, and made up of various skewered meats and vegetables. There’re lots of lok lok places, but a must try is Ah Yi Lok Lok because they serve more than 70 types of items with a price of RM1.20 per item. You can choose three types of soups to pair with your lok lok – clear soup, tom yum and spicy soup. And as with every lok lok joint, you can choose to fry the items you choose and sprinkle them with chili powder or cheese powder, and then dip it into tom yam. They also have a variety of sauces like satay sauce, sweet sauce, hot sauce, soy sauce and fried garlic oil. Ah Yi Lok Lok is open from 5:30pm-10:30pm.
