A tragedy took place earlier today (7th June) at Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong. Two bodies were spotted in the lake and allegedly, the duo had committed double suicide.

Police are currently investigating the case and have determined the victims to be a father and his daughter. Reportedly, the 72-year-old father had wanted to commit suicide, and forced his 30-year-old daughter to do so as well.

The case reportedly came to light earlier this morning at the lake in Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong. Apparently, the father, who supposedly lived nearby, had wanted to commit suicide and had taken his daughter to the lake to do so.

They had been seen removing their slippers, but no one thought much of it until the man was leading his daughter into the lake. Bystanders reportedly attempted to talk him out of it, however, it was to no avail. The father allegedly continued pulling his daughter, who was disabled, towards the center of the lake.

As he had been holding his daughter’s hand, she was reportedly unable to escape her father’s grasp. The daughter had supposedly been heard begging her father, however he apparently ignored her plea. The two then sank to the bottom of the lake.

Police have since sealed the scene off at Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong and have extracted the two corpses, which had been floating in the lake. However, it is reported that they are still investigating the case.

Our hearts go out to the two and those who knew them. We sincerely hope they find peace in the afterlife. We also urge those who need help to seek it, be it simply talking to someone or getting professional help.
