DVBBS fans, we have bad news for you.
2 women has reportedly been found unconscious in the dressing room of EDM duo DVBBS after their performance at the Balaton Sound music festival in Hungary, according to BORS Online via YourEDM. 4 men, including the duo of DVBSS, were reportedly arrested at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Budapest, to aid with investigations, but was released after police found that they were not related to the case.
They were arrested under drug related charges after the men were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The Somogy County Police has also said that 3 of the men tested positive on a drug test, and the 4th man was held as a witness before they were released. However, DVBBS’ next scheduled performance, a gig at the Sziget Festival, also in Hungary, was cancelled.
The incident involving the 2 girls happened after the duo’s performance at the Balaton Sound music festival on 5:30pm GMT +2 (11:30pm Malaysian Time) Saturday (9th July). Apparently, an eye-witness testified that the 2 girls were front row audience, and were called onstage during the performance.
After the set, they were supposedly invited to hangout backstage by the duo, but was found unconscious by a cleaning crew after DVBBS was en route to another performance. Paramedics and ambulance rushed to the site but the condition of the girls has not been disclosed.

We are shocked that few visitors of the festival has been victim of some events that they were hospitalized. Police asked for our cooperation for the investigation and we helped in everything we could. Police confirmed that there’s no connection between us and the events. That’s why we headed to Ibiza to our next gig. Nevertheless there’s a marijuana-related case, we are happy to answer to these prosecutions and willing to help the police to solve the case.
Mentally we are with the victims and their families.

After the incident, festival organisers confirmed that the girls would not have the permission to enter the protected zone without the accompaniment of artistes. One of the girls’ mother has also filed a police report minutes after learning about the situation.
UPDATE (13th July, 9:50am):
Latest reports from Hungary’s new site 444 suggest that not 2, but 6 women were found in DVBBS’ dressing room, with 3 of them unconscious. One of the girls who passed out was severely sick. However, the girls have been examined by doctors who confirmed that no signs of sexual abuse have been found.
Festival staff who found the girls said that the 3 other girls were scared and ran out while festival health care director Windy Geza assured that the rest did not need medical attention. The girls have been interviewed by press and authorities, but unfortunately, they did not remember much.
Meanwhile, Billboard reported that DVBBS and 2 other who were arrested has been released on bail.
UPDATE (15th July, 3:20pm):
One of the girls who was involved in the incident has since stepped up to relate her side of the story.
In her testimony, she explained that DVBBS did indeed invite her and a few more girls to their dressing room, but they only wanted to take some pictures and hopefully, obtain an autograph from the duo. However, they were given something to drink and blacked out after that.
According to another witness, some girls did leave the room, but when one of them wanted to re-enter the room as her friend was still inside, she was barred from doing so. Another girl also allegedly came out of the room “crying, afraid, and not knowing where she was”.
Police are still investigating the matter as more evidences and testimonials surface.
In 2014, DVBBS member Chris Chronicles was arrested for marijuana possession in Atlanta after the Blackout Party concert. Fellow member Alex Andre subsequently went on a Twitter rant criticising the excessive force used against his brother.
