Local beauty brand dUCK Cosmetics has collaborated with 20th Century Fox to launch a limited edition dUCk x X-Men Dark Phoenix makeup collection called Rise of the dUCk Collection.
“For dUCk Cosmetics to be involved in such an epic collaboration involving a franchise that’s a household name globally is just, EPIC. Introducing our Rise of the dUCk Collection, a limited edition make-up set created for the soon to be released X-Men: Dark Phoenix Film,” dUCK Cosmetics founder, Vivy Yusof posted on Instagram.
The Rise of the dUCk makeup set features 2 stunning eyeshadow palettes which were created to represent both Jean Grey (Ashes) and Dark Phoenix (Ember).
“To reflect Jean’s calm and stoic nature, the Ashes palette features natural toned shades – with a hint of that classic X-Men blue. The Ember Palette represents the wild and untameable Dark Phoenix entity, with fiery toned shades. Both palettes have a mix of matte, shimmer and duo-chromatic crystallised shades,” read the post.
The collection also features 4 gorgeous deep-toned, earthy lipsticks which are packed with Vitamin E for a boost of hydration. The colours include a vampy deep maroon (Madame), sultry fuchsia (Perfection), a brown (Flare) and warm nude (Spark).
This is the second time Vivy Yusof’s makeup brand collaborated with a movie studio. Last year, dUCK Cosmetics collaborated with Warner Bros (WB) to launch a make up line for the movie “Crazy Rich Asians”.
Rise of the dUCk Collection is now available at Sephora and will soon be available at dUCK store.
