Demi Lavato recently ended her engagement with Max Ehrich, after having been together for only 6 months. The “I Love Me” singer felt that the actor was a “clout chaser” after seeing how Max’s fame increased while they were together. According to a source, this turn of events had “left a bad taste in her mouth.”
We thought that after all the hoo-ha with the pair’s lightening speed engagement – and equally fast break up – that the drama was finally over. But oh boys and girls, were we wrong! The drama is still going down and here’s what the new exes were stirring up over the weekend:
Max took to his Instagram account on Saturday (26th September) and claimed that his now ex-fiancee did not even personally inform him about the break-up. Ouch! “The Young and the Restless” star broke the silence for the first time after the split by directly addressing the issue on his Instagram story with a controversial explanation.
His story read: “Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid… While your in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people.”
While his statement clearly attempts to make Demi look like the bad guy, Max puts in the extra effort to make himself look like the good guy by signing off with a final caption reading, “God bless“, along with a dove emoji that ironically symbolises peace.
However, Demi wasn’t going to sit back and take these accusations silently. A source close to the 28-year-old singer responded to the accusations revealing, “Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press.”
And that’s not all, we at Hype noticed that the award winning singer had also deleted ALL her previous Instagram posts that featured Max in them. From extremely cheeeeesyyyy captions, to pictures of Max’s lips pretty much glued to her, to absolutely NOTHING.
Nada. Nil. Zilch.
Of course, Max was not going to stay silent when Demi appears to have denied his accusations. So, he took to his Instagram stories again on Sunday (27th September) to set his ex straight. Attached below is a screenshot showing exactly what he had to say.
We said it before, and we’ll say it again – What a rollercoaster ride! Max is saying one thing and Demi is saying another. As people looking in from the outside, we have no idea what’s actually going on right now.
