Dato’ Fazley Yaakob revealed that his social media has been flocked with comments from his fans following a shocking subtitle error that happened during his appearance in a Singaporean cooking reality show recently.
The renowned celebrity chef, who was one of the resident judges for the programme called “Kek Champion”, uploaded a screenshot of the translation that his fans sent to his Instagram, along with a few reactions from social media users.

Fazley wrote on Instagram, “Something rather amusing happened during yesterday’s final episode. It was a dangerous on-screen typo error. The word was supposed to be “cake” but it came out as c**k (yes, the male private part) as you can see in the photo!”
“Oh well, mistakes happen, I’m all good! Lets all move on and give the translator a break. Probably the person in charge did not realise until it was on air. It has happened to many of us I’m sure!” the “Cerita Asmara” singer further added in the caption, assuring everyone that he wasn’t too affected by the incident.
Singaporean channel Mediacorp Suria also came up with a statement on their official Facebook page to address the issue. They wrote, “We are sorry for the subtitling error during last night’s final episode. For those who have reached out to us, thank you and we hear you. The error has been rectified and is available on our streaming platform meWATCH. We hope to have your continued support and sincerely apologise for the error.”
“The production team might be stressed out to carry out each tasks during the prolonged movement control order (MCO) season, right?” the “MasterChef Selebriti” winner ended his caption, much the amusement of his followers.
