Sometimes, it can be shocking when you receive a costly bill that is way out of your budget – but that should never excuse running away without settling the payment. These days, many businesses can use social media to expose customers who fail to pay up.

Last week, Facebook user Eddy Teller exposed a young man who fled after receiving a haircut and styling services that came up to RM890. The incident occurred at Miko Galere, a high-end salon in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, on 13th November. Eddy shared that the man was a customer of his niece who worked at the salon but left without settling the bill. He also revealed the details of the incident and added that the salon had lodged a police report against the customer.

The post revealed the customer’s name as Sean Azri, who resides in Melawati. The post also included Sean’s photos, images of the haircut bill, the police report and a few screenshots, believed to be a conversation between him and the salon staff. Eddy wrote that the salon is currently seeking the man out and demanding him pay his bill and publish an apology video. The Facebook user also called out Sean, saying he should just get a haircut at a normal barbershop if he can’t afford a high-end salon.

The post was also shared on Twitter, garnering more attention to the incident. Many netizens shared the same sentiment as Eddy, saying the customer should’ve gone to a barbershop instead if he knew it was out of his budget. However, some netizens said it was no wonder Sean ran away after seeing the bill because they were shocked that a haircut could cost close to RM900.

Of course, some netizens backed the salon, saying the price was justified given the location and salon’s brand. If you look closely at the salon bill, Sean had also opted to colour and straighten his hair – both of which already cost RM560.
