Finding something that shouldn’t be in your food is one of the last things anyone would want to experience, especially if it’s your first meal of the day. Many were disgusted after a customer shared their story of finding a dead lizard in their nasi lemak.

Who can also forget the time someone discovered a rat’s head in their nasi kukus? The thought of it is already enough to make us gag. Taking to Facebook, this man shared his disbelief and disgust after finding a dead cockroach in the meal he ordered.

Yesterday (Monday, 28th August), a local man who goes by Benny Teng posted his experience of dining at the Qhouse Malaysia restaurant in Puchong on the 蒲种大新闻 (Puchong News Group) Facebook group along with several photos. According to the customer’s caption, he wanted to try eating at the establishment as it had just opened 2 weeks ago.

Unfortunately, much to his disappointment, the man discovered something absolutely revolting in the meal he ordered. As seen in the photos above, a dead cockroach was found in the slice of toasted bread and thankfully, the unsightly insect was discovered before anyone took a bite out of it.

“Both the restaurant’s hygiene and the staff’s poor service need to be improved,” he said in his captions. As expected, the post went viral with some netizens sharing similar unpleasant experiences they had from eating at the recently-launched restaurant.

Later that day, Qhouse Malaysia posted an official statement on their social media to apologise for the incident. In their statement, the restaurant said that they had investigated the matter and took strict actions against those involved in the preparation and serving of the customer’s meal.

However, they have yet to comment regarding other customers’ dissatisfactions with their service and food quality. Let’s hope that the restaurant will take all the necessary steps to improve so that they won’t lose more customers.
