Horror flicks are no longer just limited to Halloween. This April, Russell Crowe will be taking on the devil and a secretive Vatican in the new demonic possession movie, “The Pope’s Exorcist”. Say your prayers and repeat after us, “Not today, Satan!”
While demon possessions and exorcisms have been horror staples for the longest time, “The Pope’s Exorcist” seems to be taking things up a notch. After all, the Pope would only get involved if the situation was dire. With so much to unpack, we’ll be delving into the Vatican files, next level demons and a centuries-old conspiracy. What is the Pope hiding? It’s up to his exorcist to unravel the truth.
In this new film, Russell Crowe plays Father Gabriele Amorth, an Italian Catholic priest who founded the International Association of Exorcists and reportedly performed nearly 160,000 exorcisms during his 30 years of ministry. Some of you may remember him in William Friedkin’s documentary “The Devil And Father Amorth” that came out back in 2017.
