Get ready to fall in love with the beloved orange cat all over again when “The Garfield Movie” premieres in cinemas on 22nd May. If you’re looking to enjoy a movie popcorn meow-ment with friends and family, we’ve got you covered.
This iconic furry animal has been entertaining audiences with his cynicism since 1976 and that humour is the reason why Garfield has managed to stay popular for the past decades. “The Garfield Movie” aims to emulate the comedy and spotlight his most well-known character traits (e.g.: hatred for Mondays, love for lasagna).
The synopsis reads:
“Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.”
With Chris Pratt playing the titular character, “The Garfield Movie” features a star-studded voice cast including Harvey Guillén (Odie) and Samuel L. Jackson (Vic), with Hannah Waddingham (Jinx), Ving Rhames (Otto), Nicholas Hoult (Jon Arbuckle) and Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus (Snoop Catt).
