“Expect all the greatest hits. We wanna give the fans what they want,” that is what Marit Larsen and Marion Raven told us when we spoke to them via Zoom in early March. There’s no doubt that many music lovers are stoked about the M2M reunion and their comeback concert.

The duo went viral when they posted their surprise comeback late last year and announced their Asia tour. After spamming their social media, the prayers of Malaysian fans were answered when M2M confirmed they will be performing in Genting this April.

“Yeah, when we announced that we were coming on tour. There were so many people saying, “Come to Malaysia, come to Malaysia, come to Malaysia. So we had to make it happen. So that’s why we’re playing in Malaysia on a Sunday. Because it was the only chance to make it happen,” Marion was quoted as saying.

If you grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s, chances are M2M’s dreamy melodies and heartfelt lyrics were the soundtrack to your youth. With iconic hits like “The Day You Went Away” and “Don’t Say You Love Me”, their music resonated with fans across the globe, blending Scandinavian charm with pure pop magic. Their debut album, “Shades of Purple” (1998), catapulted them to international fame, cementing their place as true pop royalty. From winning MTV Europe Music Awards to gracing the world’s biggest stages, M2M left an indelible mark on pop culture.
