Chloe Lim, a 27-year-old management consultant from Kuala Lumpur, was officially crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 at the Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 Gala Finals held last Friday night (12th September). Outshining 15 other contestants, Chloe captivated both judges and audience with her charisma, intellect, and authenticity, qualities that she believes define the new era of pageantry.
She will go on to represent Malaysia at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, set to take place in Pak Kret, Thailand, this November. She follows in the footsteps of Sandra Lim, whose breakthrough semi-final placement in 2024 marked a historic moment for Malaysia, the first since Josephine Lena Wong in 1970.

“This year’s competition was incredibly tough, but I know I gave my best, and I’m truly grateful for this opportunity. Sandra left behind a legacy, and I hope to continue that,” Chloe admitted during a post-event press conference.
She hopes to use the Miss Universe platform not only to showcase Malaysia’s culture and values but to champion issues close to her heart, including education equity and animal rights. “I believe that beauty, intelligence, and compassion can and should coexist. Miss Universe Malaysia this year is about redefining your journey, and for me, that means standing up for authenticity, courage, and purpose,” said the 27-year-old. Here are 5 fun facts about our new Miss Universe Malaysia:
1. She’s an academic powerhouse

Chloe Lim’s journey is grounded in education, with not one but two master’s degrees, including a Master’s in Law. Her academic path took her across the globe, from the UK and New York to Portugal and Estonia, where she not only pursued her studies but also developed a deeper awareness of global inequalities. Her legal dissertation, notably, focused on improving animal welfare rights in the UK, a subject that reflects her deep personal convictions and passion for advocacy.
2. She’s an animal lover and advocate

Growing up in a household with six rescue dogs, Chloe developed a profound love for animals from a young age. That affection evolved into a lifelong mission that now drives her animal welfare advocacy. Her legal research on animal rights was more than academic; it was personal. Now, as Miss Universe Malaysia 2025, Chloe hopes to use her platform to champion stronger protections for animals and raise awareness about the need for reform, both in Malaysia and beyond.
3. She gives back to the community & founded “MY Story with Chloe”
Despite her international exposure, Chloe’s heart remains rooted in community service. She has taught orphans in Vietnam and helped to build a safe space for girls in Portugal, experiences that reflect her strong sense of empathy and purpose. Closer to home, she founded “MY Story with Chloe”, an Instagram-based initiative that celebrates inspirational Malaysian stories and promotes local entrepreneurs, part of her mission to close the opportunity gap and uplift others through storytelling.
4. She’s a woman of many talents

Chloe’s interests go far beyond the boardroom or the stage. A natural creative spirit, she grew up learning the piano and violin, and today finds joy in activities like horse riding, tennis, and travelling. Whether exploring new cultures or expressing herself through music and movement, Chloe believes that creativity and curiosity are essential to staying grounded and connected to the world and to herself.
5. She hopes to inspire others with Miss Universe Malaysia win

For Chloe, joining Miss Universe Malaysia was never just about wearing a crown; it was about finding a platform that aligned with her values. “I believe in doing everything with the right intention and heart. This year’s message about authenticity and redefining your journey really spoke to me. I wanted to show that you can be strong and soft, driven and compassionate. Beauty, intelligence, and empathy should go hand in hand,” she says. Through her journey, she hopes to inspire others to lead with purpose, embrace their full selves, and step into spaces they may have once thought were out of reach.
