When you tie the knot, you’re not only married to your spouse but also automatically tied to the other party’s family members. Your parents become theirs, and vice versa.
So, sometimes, despite being divorced, some couples remain on good terms with their in-laws. However, that might not be the case for Shikin Maembong, who was once married to Chef Wan’s son, Mohd Nazri.
After making headlines for firing his driver after he failed to water his plants, Chef Wan is now putting his ex-daughter-in-law on blast via one of his Instagram posts yesterday (20th February). The sister of Malaysian actress Emma Maembong, Shikin Maembong, has filed a summon for defamation against Chef Wan.
According to Redzuawan bin Ismail, or popularly known as Chef Wan, Shikin had filed a claim against him for advising Nazri and her a few months prior to not fight for the custody of their child when they can settle it under good manners. However, Shikin begs to differ. Not only that she successfully obtained full custody of her daughter, Putri Arianna Natasya, but she has also banned her ex-husband along with his family to visit Arianna.
The summon seems to be Chef Wan’s last straw because he ended up exposing how Shikin and Nazri’s wedding was fully sponsored by him, “Have you forgotten my goodwill of marrying the two of you using 100% of my own hard work income?” He also stated how Shikin is immature by complicating everything, and wasting his time. “I don’t have time for your shit,” he wrote and added, “Are you so poor that you need to claim a million ringgit from me?”
However, Chef Wan’s statement of the pair using his money for their wedding resulted in Shikin providing an explanation on her Instagram story. She stated that Chef Wan has once again allegedly defamed her by falsely claiming that they used his money for their wedding from 8 years ago, on 2014. “We used our own money for the wedding, as at that time, we were involved with Alken and we’ve managed to save up on our own,” Shikin explained.
