Ever wondered what the hustle and bustle of the fashion industry is like? It might look glamorous on the outside, but backstage is full of busy people and countless happenings. Netflix is launching a brand-new series called “The Fabulous” (더 패뷸러스). Unlike any other shows, this exciting new series is a one-of-a-kind show that should definitely not be missed!
“The Fabulous” is a story of four young friends – luxury brand marketer Pyo Ji-eun (Chae Soo Bin 채수빈), photographer Ji Woo-min (Shinee’s Choi Min Ho 최민호), designer Joseph (Lee Sang Un 이상운), and supermodel Ye Seon-ho (Park Hee Jung 박희정) – who have devoted their lives to the fashion industry filled with challenges and humiliations. Through blood, sweat and tears, they strive hard to protect the colleagues they work with. Together, the four friends will get up twice for every time they get knocked down.
“The Fabulous” was originally scheduled for release on 4th of November on Netflix, but its release was postponed to 23rd December. The delay was out of consideration for the national mourning period of the Itaewon tragedy that occurred on 29th October. Nevertheless, “The Fabulous” is now officially streaming on Netflix for all to watch!
During the recent virtual press conference, the four casts members and director Kim Jeong Hyeon (김정현) spilled some pretty interesting (and spicy!) details about “The Fabulous”. Upon seeing the official trailer, many can deduce that the new series included some hot and steamy scenes especially between the two main characters.
During the question and answer period, one particular question was brought up and directed to the main actors, Minho and Soo Bin. A reporter asked about their chemistry and whether it was awkward especially during the kissing scenes. Soo Bin replied, “It was awkward, it wasn’t easy. When I read the script, all the way until the actual shoot, I was quite concerned about those scenes. But I think I feel the same way about Min-ho, I hope everyone watches our show, but not my family and my very close friends. Maybe they can just skip those parts.”
The actress also added that it was her first time meeting and working together with Minho. Despite being awkward with each other at first, Minho was so energetic on set. He was the life of the party and would lead the atmosphere on set. Although sometimes physically challenging, the actor always looks out for others. Thanks to him, Soo Bin felt very comfortable and at home on set.
