They say lightning never strikes twice. But, thankfully for most of us, it hasn’t struck even once. Still, we have to admit, this car was extremely lucky when it narrowly missed being struck by lightning.
A video recently went viral on social media for what some might deem as a very lucky moment. According to the video, a car had been driving in a storm when lightning struck, right where the car had been.

The insanely fortunate moment had been captured by another car’s dashcam. From the timestamp of the recorded footage, the instant had taken place on 16th April around 3:37 pm. They had apparently been driving on a straight road near what looked like a housing area. China Press reports that it supposedly occurred in an area in Johor.
One of the cars in the right lane had been switching over to the left when a bolt of lightning struck the spot it had been at less than a second ago. The car narrowly missed being hit; had it been a second late, the lightning would have struck the car. Instead, it struck the ground and a leaf of a nearby palm tree. The lucky car could be seen speeding a little after the bolt, the driver likely shocked from the near miss.

That was certainly a harrowing drive! We sincerely hope the driver has a less exciting journey in the future. In the meantime, do take care when driving in heavy storms!
