BTS’ eldest member, Kim Seok-Jin (김석진), more commonly known as Jin (진), finally concluded his mandatory enlistment earlier this summer and is now doing individual projects while waiting for his members to wrap up their military service. Following his peers’ trend of releasing a solo album, Jin unveils that he will also be coming out with his own album soon.
The idol isn’t shy when it comes to releasing music as he’s released a handful of singles alongside his group’s music throughout his time as an artist. However, this is his first time delivering a full album as a soloist to his fans. Here are fun facts about Jin and his upcoming album, “Happy”:
1. This Will Be His First Comeback Since Discharging From The Military

The superstar has been on hiatus since December 2022 due to being enlisted in the mandatory military service as a South Korean citizen. He was discharged on 12th June 2024 and has been working on other projects since then.
He had been teasing fans about dropping his first album, however, it was all confirmed earlier this week when BigHit Music dropped an official teaser on multiple social platforms. The teaser garnered over 3.2 million views on Twitter, with fans expressing excitement for its release.
2. A “Journey To True Happiness”

The artist has revealed that this upcoming album is a “journey to true happiness” that he discovered while in the making. Jin unveils that this album is full of his genuine and honest feelings on his thoughts about what happiness truly is to him, and he hopes the feelings were conveyed properly in the form of songs.
The album will include 6 tracks of heartfelt songs, as a gesture of appreciation to his fans and listeners. No details about the tracks have been leaked yet, however, the singer will be pre-releasing the single “Happy” on 25th October, so look out for that.
3. He Is The Last Of His Members To Release A Solo Album

Albeit being the eldest member of BTS, Jin is the final member of the group to release his own album. As he mentioned to Weverse Magazine last month, “[The BTS members] finished making their solo albums before enlisting, so I better not wait too long to release mine. I’m working to get it done fast.” With that, all the members of BTS finally have their own projects to be proud of.
4. The Official Release Date Is 15th November

The date of the official release was announced yesterday by HYBE and BigHit across multiple social platforms. Following the announcement, they also released a 20-second teaser, showing the date and time of the release of the album. It will be out for the public on 15th November at 2pm (KST).
5. The Album Will Be Available In Different Versions

There will be 3 versions of the album, and pre-orders are now available through the Weverse website and other online stores. Fans who pre-order now can also get exclusive pre-order benefits for the album.
